The long way round

Victor Seijas has built a three-decade practice the unglamorous way: one client at a time. Not through a scaled programme or a certification pipeline, but by sitting with people through the specific, unrepeatable mess of their own situations — and by being available again the following week when the resolve wobbled.

That is a slow way to build a career. It is also the only way to accumulate the thing he actually trades on, which is pattern recognition. After enough years you stop hearing new problems and start hearing familiar ones wearing different clothes, and you get quicker at telling someone the truth in a way they can hear.

The people who change are almost never the ones who felt ready. They're the ones who started anyway.

The builder's habit of mind

Victor is also a general contractor, and it shows in how he works. He talks about lives the way he talks about buildings: if the structure is unstable you do not repaint the walls, you inspect the foundation. He watches for variances — the gap between the plan and what actually got spent — because in construction an ignored variance bankrupts the project, and in a life it does something similar more slowly.

That is not a metaphor he reaches for to sound clever. It is the trade he came from, and it is why his advice tends to be structural rather than inspirational: sequence, load-bearing decisions, and what has to be true before anything else can be.

What he's actually like

Warm, and not soft. Victor's reputation is for being generous with his attention and unusually direct about what he sees — a combination that only works because the warmth arrives first. People tend to describe the sessions as comfortable and the observations as uncomfortable, which is roughly the intended ratio.

He is not interested in performing certainty. Where he doesn't know, he says so, and where he thinks someone else could serve you better, he says that too.

On stage and in print

Alongside the private practice, Victor speaks to conferences, sales teams, leadership groups and college campuses, and runs workshops for organisations working through something difficult. In July 2024 he published the Dare to Live series — the book, a guidebook to work through it, and a reflection journal — and he is a contributing author to the anthology Reach Your Greatness, which carries a cover endorsement from Kevin Harrington.

Harrington — the original Shark from Shark Tank — and speaking-industry veteran James Malinchak have both gone on camera about Victor's work. Those conversations are on this site in full, unedited and unabridged, because a recorded endorsement from a named person is worth more than a page of anonymous praise.
